Although some parents may choose to engage in offensive and at times violent behavior, coaches who use this guide and pledge to not partake in violent aggressive behavior may be one element to ending this issue all together. By remaing in self control violence has less a chance of happening.

I was impressed with the proactive site provided by the government of Aulstralia. The entire page is dedicated to defining ’sports rage”, about sports rage, preventing sports rage, dealing with an incident, understanding the laws, case studies of sports rage, and sports rage resources including an area to order a sports rage kit. This website is a fantastic resource for parents to teach their children about preventing violence at youth sporting events. It also provides information which adults may find useful such as legal issues surrounding violence at sporting events.

What is interesting about this article though is that two teenaged sports player and a psychologist. The brief article sums the issues at hand and also attempts to suggested a solution to the societal issue of sports violence.
